WHILE it was closer than he would have liked, Felling bowler Tony Trotter praised his side for holding their nerve to pick up their first win of the season in the North East Premier League.
Felling beat Newcastle by just two runs at High Heworth Lane after breaking the opposition’s 57- run last wicket partnership by trapping Alexander Simpson lbw for 84.
Trotter admitted the hosts almost let the game slip away from them, having reduced Newcastle to 92-9 while chasing 151, but he was delighted they were able to get across the line.
