Great Scott ends the long Clifton drought

CLIFTON Alliance captain Scott Hopkinson insisted his team had no idea they had gone a year without a victory at home after hitting an unbeaten century to beat Driffield Town.
Hopkinson finished on 113 not out following an opening stand of 134 with David Taylor (56) as Clifton chased down the visitors’ total of 232-6 for the loss of one wicket. An unbeaten 52 from Liam Hope- Shackley also aided the hosts in their reply, after Samuel Grant had taken 3-31 during Driffield’s innings in the pick of the bowling performances.
