TICKNALL captain Paul Borrington believes his side are strong enough to claim the league title this year.
The former Derbyshire batsman’s 47 not out helped Ticknall claim an impressive eight-wicket victory over Spondon on Saturday, extending their unbeaten run this season to six.
Sitting clear at the top of the Derbyshire Premier Division by eight points, Borrington feels Ticknall can finish higher than they have done in half a decade since a runners-up campaign in 2013.
