THEY mooted the idea of rescheduling the Wimbledon men’s final and the T20 Blast saw fixtures rearranged but the football World Cup did not ground all English sport to a halt.
In hindsight this was perhaps unfortunate for two West of England Premier League sides who saw their match at the weekend descend into chaos due to an argument over watching Gareth Southgate’s boys in action.
