Alderley back from the Edge in final stand

A BUOYANT last wicket pair put on a sterling 98-run last stand to earn a dramatic win for Cheshire side Alderley Edge last weekend.
Alderley were reduced to 117-8 by Andrew Greasley (3-52) and Paul Wood (4-62) but with nearly a ton left on the scoreboard to chase down, Australian overseas Kieran Elliott ramped up the pressure.
He went on to score an incredible 75 with partner Blair Campbell adding a valuable 21 to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat Marple.
