Rain gods settle the Bradford title

PUDSEY St Lawrence faced a nervy wait before being able to celebrate their Bradford Premier League title victory after their final fixture against Methley was abandoned while rivals New Farnley’s was not.
Pudsey players and fans waited anxiously for news from New Farnley’s match against Bradford & Bingley, which had been reduced to 26 overs per side by the inclement weather last weekend.
After posting 156-8, New Farnley needed to bowl Bradford out to take the 17 points on offer which they failed to do as their opponents finished 99-2 at close of play.
