ANY search for the present and future of Derbyshire cricket brings you to Ticknall.
The village club lifted their first-ever ECB Premier League title this summer, claiming 16 victories and outlasting the established likes of Sandiacre, Swarkestone and Spondon.
They are capably led by former county opener Paul Borrington and call on the services of Wayne Madsen, a peerless batsman and model of consistency.
But if their current crop is rosy, the next generation burns even brighter.
