IT has been a peculiar season for South African overseas batsman and Norwich Cricket Club’s Jack Newby.
Topping the table for the most runs scored in all first divisions in England and Wales, Newby had to experience the strange sensation of being relegated from the East Anglian Premier Cricket League despite his personal record breaking feat.
The 24-year-old scored 1,233 league runs to smash the East Anglian league run record and finish ahead of former Brighton and Hove Albion footballer Joe Gatting (nephew of former England batsman Mike Gatting) in the run charts...
