EMMA Halliwell made history last weekend as, at just 15 years old, she became the first female to play a senior match for Falkland.
Starring for the side’s thirds, Halliwell notched 20 – the third highest score her side managed in their knock of 121 – with the bat and starred in the field as Falkland fell to an eight-wicket defeat to Penicuik. Having played alongside her brother for several years, hard work has certainly paid off for the teenager as she sets her sights on more senior cricket.
