COPDOCK & Old Ipswichian skipper Chris Swallow admitted his relief at beating Cambridge by one wicket on Saturday after a nervous final over between the two East Anglian sides.
Swallow’s side restricted Cambridge to 202-7 before easing to 157-1 in reply, but a clatter of wickets saw Copdock in danger of falling short off the penultimate ball – however, Jason Pembroke and Elliot Tyler got through for the winning run.
