TEEING off is in the nature of any club cricketer and none more so than Clevedon’s Ali Balcombe
The professional golfer, who pipped Colin Montgomerie to qualify for the 2015 Open Championship, slips out of chinos and into whites for the West Country club’s third XI. Returning for a first full season in the Bristol & District league since the age of 15, Balcombe snaffled 7-24, including a hat-trick, against Midsomer Norton last weekend.
