TAKING seven wickets is meant to be a euphoric moment for any bowler but for Reigate Priory’s Luke Beaven, the feeling was quite the opposite.
Beaven took seven against East Moseley last weekend but it was not enough to prevent Reigate Priory slipping to an agonising four-run loss to the league leaders in the Surrey Championship.
It was Beaven’s second sevenwicket haul in the space of a month, but it is testament to the bowler’s character that he would unhesitatingly drop wickets in favour of victory.
