SOMETIMES the simplest things can be the most effective; just ask Dominic Reed.
The East Molesey man, who played six times at List A level and had a stint with Northants seconds, took his lifetime best figures for the Surrey side, bagging 8-57 to send them on their way to a nine-wicket triumph over Sunbury.
And it was all thanks to one basic alteration: he opted to straighten up his line.
“I used to be the sort of bowler who would try and bowl it into the wicket a bit more, have your slips and the keeper back and try to bowl as quickly as you can,” he said.
