STAND-IN Boston skipper Jonny Cheer admits even he couldn’t believe the drama in his side’s one-wicket win over Louth with one ball to spare.
The Lincolnshire Premier League bottom-of-the-table clash went right down to the wire, with Boston needing 19 runs from 19 balls following Cheer’s top score of 91, in what was quickly becoming a dramatic encounter.
And it was left to the tailenders to see their side home after a middle-order collapse that had left a victory looking unlikely, but 19 runs from Paul Tetther late in the day helped seal the victory.
