Travellers cause fire damage

BRIDGNORTH Cricket Club is now caravan free after a group of travellers were forced to up sticks from their home ground.
The group of six mobile homes gained entrance to the Victoria Road ground by removing the metal entrance gates before setting up camp in the outfield.
The ground is part of Bridgnorth Cricket & Hockey Club, which is surrounded by Sainsbury’s, St John’s Catholic Primary School and the town’s football, tennis and bowling clubs in High Town.
