100 all out! Bud forced to relocate

BUDLEIGH Salterton Cricket Club is being forced to relocate after more than 100 years due to a pending wildlife project and severe risk of flooding.
Their current home in Ottermouth has been left partly underwater three times in the last ten years and could be lost as part of a £9m scheme to help restore the river otter population.
The club hope to move to Janie’s Field on the outskirts of the town with plans submitted that contain 13 wickets, one of which would be an artificial surface, and the project has been designed to meet the requirements of the ECB.
