‘KEEP it simple’ was the slogan Alastair Allchin credited for the best spell of his career with Bury St Edmunds as they swept aside previously unbeaten Great Witchingham.
The 29-year-old claimed figures of 7-37 with the red ball at Walcis Park as Bury bowled out their hosts for just 73 before knocking off the required runs for the loss of two wickets.
But while the statistics suggest a performance to remember, Allchin explained he didn’t do anything out of the ordinary in the eight-wicket win and simply benefitted from being in a good rhythm.
