PAPPLEWICK AND LIN- BY are reaping the benefits of Brent Williams’ Covid-hit plans to return to his homeland, with the Australian batsman knocking a career-best 202 not-out in a 44-run win over Hucknall.
Williams signed for the Nottinghamshire Premier League side after four seasons at Leicestershire outfit Kegworth Town, and amassed an average above 77 in nine games for his new team. Victory over Hucknall was the second bank holiday success for Papplewick, with the earlier 116- run win over Mansfield Hosiery Mills a fitting end...
