PIANO teacher Joel Hughes revealed the key behind career best figures for North Middlesex was a shortened run-up he is using while not 100 per cent fit.
The 37-year-old seamer from Durham’s 8-25 skittled Enfield for 64 and the skipper also contributed 17 not out with the bat from No.9 to help his thirdplaced side to a 113-run win.
After missing seven games for the 2019 champions with a troublesome ankle injury, Hughes decided to adapt his methods and had instant success in just his second game back with a ruthless 11.3-over spell.
