IT SEEMS that England rugby star Tom Curry can turn his hand to pretty much anything, as Elworth’s 4th XI found out a few weeks ago.
The Sale Sharks flanker was roped into appearing for the team after walking his dog around the cricket pitch one Saturday night.
The next day he proceeded to smash a mammoth 18 fours and four sixes on his way to a knock of 114, his first ever century for the club for whom he played junior cricket.
Curry, who earlier took 3-43 with the ball, was the last batter out as Elworth lost to Cheadle Hulme by 30 runs.
