The players of Bramhall in Division One of the Cheshire County League will have found more eyes on them than usual this week as they welcomed a Lindow side featuring England leg-spinner Matt Parkinson.
Coming up against a slightly higher quality of spin bowling than they’re perhaps used to facing on a Saturday, Bramhall subsided to 123 all out, with Parkinson taking 4-19 from 12.4 overs. In reply, Lindow reached 102-5 from 34 overs before the rain came and ended any chance of a result. Parkinson did not bat.
