The Premier Division of the Surrey Championship served up an insanely high-scoring draw last weekend as Weybridge and Ashtead racked up more than 800 runs between them.
In a timed match on a baking hot day at Weybridge, Ashtead won the toss and batted first, racking up an enormous 444-8 before declaring in the 64th over.
Not hampered by the absence of the previous week’s centurion Dom Sibley, this time it was another opener with international experience stepping up for Ashtead, as West Indian Kieran Powell smashed 151 from 126 balls.
