Surrey off-spinner Amar Virdi was in the wickets for Sunbury in the Surrey Championship, picking up 7-63 as they comfortably defeated Esher by 124 runs.
Esher were bowled out for 225 in reply to Sunbury’s 349-5 declared, Virdi getting through 24.5 overs on the way to his seven-for.
Virdi turned out as part of a strong Sunbury side, including former England international Owais Shah, Middlesex all-rounder Martin Andersson, and Surrey batter Nico Reifer.
