Mazhar’s big 200 in vain amid downpour

BLACKLEY Cricket Club in Manchester won their John Barrow Trophy second round clash with Radcliffe in controversial fashion after a severe downpour left the game needing to be decided by a coin toss.
Batting first, Radcliffe declared on 345-7 after just 38.3 overs following a destructive double-century from Shahzaib Mazhar.
Coming in at No.6, Mazhar smashed 21 fours and 16 sixes, reaching 200 from just 105 balls. The Blackley bowling figures weren’t pretty, with 3-61 from seven overs from Abdullah Afzal the pick.
