MALDON opening batter Chris Harris blitzed 224 from 108 balls, including hitting six sixes in an over as his team racked up a record score of 418-3 in 45 overs against Copford in Division Two of the Two Counties Cricket Championship.
Harris struck 21 sixes in a frankly ridiculous innings that saw him put on 308 for the first wicket with skipper Ross Walpole (135 not out).
In response, Copford were dismissed for 189, Toby Pugh taking 7-67 from 11.4 overs. James Bell (44) and Thomas Lawson (40) made the best contributions for the home side.
