HOLY CROSS club president Ken Lawrie, 69, has been playing cricket since the age of 11 – and last Saturday he hit his first-ever six!
Playing in Division 7 of the East of Scotland Cricket Association, the competition’s eighth tier, Lawrie walked to the crease for Holy Cross 2nd XI with the score on 178-8 with 11 balls remaining and 24 runs still to win against Carlton fifths.
