Upset: Barkby United’s square has been the victim of vandalism

THE following is a statement from Barkby United Cricket Club’s website:
On the morning of Sunday June 18, it is believed that one or more individuals entered our Beeby Road ground, under the cover of darkness, and applied weed killer to our square, subsequently killing the grass. Barkby United have three Saturday teams, two Sunday teams, one midweek team and junior teams from U10s to U17s, all of which will have to find a new home for the remainder of the season.
