Accompanying the news of his return to Somerset on a short-term loan deal, Dom Bess also returned to the Devon League, turning out alongside cousins Luke and Josh for Sidmouth in their 111-run victory over North Devon.
Batting at four, Bess struck a 57ball 79, including five sixes, as Sidmouth reached 191-9 in 32 overs. All-rounder Ben Howe took 6-23 for North Devon to keep Sidmouth in check.
Chasing a revised total of 190, North Devon were bowled out for 78, Bess picking up 2-10 from three overs as the Sidmouth bowlers shared the wickets around. Bess hasn’t found it easy ...
