A TOTAL OF 667 runs were scored at Esher’s New Road Ground as the home side edged out Wimbledon by two wickets in their Surrey Championship clash.
Wimbledon racked up 333-9 in their 50 overs. with opening batter Jonathan Webb smashing a 103-ball 119 and was well supported by Tim Lloyd (71) and Nicholas Welch (68) as the visitors piled on the runs.
Ben Townsend took 3-56 for Esher but there was little to write home about for the bowling side on a very flat pitch.
