BURNLEY took the Lancashire League title after five points from their abandoned match with Lowerhouse proved enough to finish above both Littlehouse and Darwen.
Lowerhouse made 197-7 from their 50 overs before the game was abandoned with Burnley on 87-2 chasing a revised target of 131. This left Burnley’s fate in Darwen’s hands and resulted in a nervy wait for the Turf Moor faithful.
