A 75-ball 108 from Josh Cobb helped Kibworth get their Leicestershire & Rutland Premier League title defence off to the best possible start as they defeated Barrow Town by 106 runs.
The former county star smashed 10 fours and seven sixes as Kibworth reached 287-9 in their allotted 50 overs. He shared a partnership of
122 for the fifth wicket with Darren Shaw (46), Shaw contributing just 28 as he very much played second fiddle to the explosive Cobb.
Sunainsa Mehbubsa took 4-68 for Barrow and Kartik Joshi 3-36 as they managed to keep Kibworth to a score below 300.
