Reigning Nottinghamshire Premier League champions Cuckney got their 2024 season off to a dominant start as they defeated Plumtree inside 39 overs.
Bowling first, Cuckney blew through the Plumtree batting lineup, bowling them out for just 58 as Joseph Worrall and Drew Owen both took 4-12.
They chased down their target in 12 overs for the loss of two wickets with Tom Rowe finishing 34 not out.
Last year’s runners up Kimberley Institute, who finished just two points behind Cuckney, also got their campaign off to a winning start with a nine-wicket win over Radcliffe-on-Trent.
