ON SATURDAY 20 and Sunday 21 of July, cricket supporters around the country will have a unique opportunity to celebrate top quality competitive cricket at a local level.
There is no other top-tier competitive cricket being played in the country except for day two and three of the Test Match at Trent Bridge, so unless you have a Test Match ticket, get along to your local Premier League cricket ground to see the best in top quality local cricket.
It’s important to not overlook the foundation on which cricket stands – the local clubs and communities that nurture and sustain the sport. In line with this idea, The Premier League Cricket Show have launched a campaign to establish Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 as this year’s National Premier League Cricket Weekend.
Inspired by the success of similar initiatives in non-league football, National Premier League Cricket Weekend aims to unite cricket fans, clubs, and Premier Leagues across the nation.
It provides an opportunity for Premier League clubs to open their doors, engage with local communities, and invite cricket enthusiasts to witness the charms of club cricket that thrive within their ranks whilst also watching the very best in local cricket.
We are inviting clubs and Premier Leagues to participate in our campaign and actively promote National Premier League Cricket Weekend to their stakeholders and cricketing communities. It’s a chance to showcase the rich tapestry of local cricketing talent, the values it instils, and the friendships it fosters.
Together, we can make National Premier League Cricket Weekend a resounding success, inspiring future generations and nurturing the love for this beautiful game. The Premier League Cricket Show
