AS WE enter August and head into the sharp end of the season when trophies will be given out, the ECB National competitions reach the final stages, including the prestigious Club Championship (40 overs) currently held by Cuckney CC of the Notts Prem.
Last weekend, the quarter-finals were completed having started the week before when Liverpool & District top two Northern and Ormskirk met, a re-run of their first round Lancs Cup clash in which Ormskirk came out on top early in the season.
