MEDICS remain confident that Virat Kohli will be fit to play for India on their upcoming tours of Ireland and England despite cancelling his anticipated county stint with Surrey due to a neck injury.
The India captain agreed his first ever overseas contract to play at least six games with the county back in May to prepare for his team’s five Tests against England later in the summer.
But that will now no longer happen after sustaining the injury while playing in the Indian Premier League last week.
