SIR IAN BOTHAM says Paul Collingwood will go down as “one of cricket’s best ever all-rounders” following his decision to retire at the end of the season. The 42-year-old Durham legend played 68 Tests for England – forming part of three Ashes-winning teams – as well as 197 one-day internationals and 36 Twenty20s.
But now after scoring 16,891 runs in first-class cricket, including 4,259 in Tests, over the course of his 22-year career, Collingwood has decided to hang up his whites.
