Top of the polls: James Anderson is the Specsavers Test Player of the Summer
JAMES ANDERSON was celebrating yet another accolade last night when he was named the Specsavers Test Player of the Summer for the second year running at the NatWest PCA Player of the Year awards.
The 35-year-old got the nod after a season which saw him become the most prolific seam bowler in Test history, surpassing Glenn McGrath’s 563 wickets with the final dismissal of the India series.
