STUART BROAD has backed the decision to use the old-style Dukes ball for this summer’s Ashes against Australia, saying it won’t just benefit England’s bowlers but the series as a whole.
Ashley Giles, England’s director of cricket, this week announced the move to jettison the new 2019 Dukes used in county cricket this summer for Tests in favour of the 2018 ball that has a more prominent seam.
