FAF du Plessis says South Africa must win “five cup finals” if they are to reach the World Cup semi-finals, starting tomorrow against minnows Afghanistan.
The Proteas have been the biggest let-down of this tournament, losing their first three games to hosts England, Bangladesh and India – despite arriving as the number three ranked ODI side in the world.
They were also struggling against the West Indies on Monday, slipping to 29-2 from 7.3 overs before the rain came down and washed the game out.
