EXETER boss Matt Taylor turned down an approach from an unnamed club to become their manager this week.
The 37-year-old, who has guided the Grecians to the top of League Two in his second season in charge, refused a request to open talks.
Chairman Julian Tagg said: “Matt cited a number of reasons for turning down the approach.
“He believes the playing and working staff at our club are still in a building phase with huge potential to achieve success over the next few seasons. His primary ambition is to be successful at Exeter City.”
