MICHAEL Flynn is staying as manager of Newport after rejecting interest from Lincoln.
The Imps recently lost Cowley brothers Danny and Nicky to Huddersfield and the Exiles gave them permission to hold talks with Flynn, but the 38-year-old turned down their offer.
A Newport statement read: “Michael has informed the board those talks are at an end and he remains committed to, and fully focused as manager of Newport County AFC.” Flynn said: “There was an approach and I made a decision; I’ve got a job still to do here.”
