BJ WATLING says he’s “loved every minute” of his 12 years wearing the gloves for the Black Caps, but accepts now is the time to bow out.
The 35-year-old New Zealand wicketkeeper will retire from all cricket after the Kiwis’ tour of England next month.
Watling has been capped 73 times in Test cricket and played the last of his 28 ODIs in 2018.
Debuting for New Zealand as an opener in 2009, Watling went on to become one of the finest wicketkeepers in the game, wearing the gloves in 65 matches.
