Wakely is waving farewell

NORTHANTS former captain Alex Wakely admits taking the decision to retire was a tough one.
Wakely, 32, who led the county to the T20 title in 2013 and 2016, spent 12 years with Northants, scoring more than 12,000 runs in 371 appearances in all formats.
“I’m hugely grateful for my time in the game and thoroughly enjoyed it,” Wakely said.
“Northamptonshire CC has been my life since I was 13 years old and although this decision was extremely tough to make, I am excited about starting the next chapter in my life.”
