KENT spinner Imran Qayyum has been forced to retire at the age of 27 due to shoulder problems.
Qayyum spent the last seven years with Kent and made 82 appearances – taking 43 T20 wickets.
“It’s disappointing that my career has been cut short,” he said.
“But I can look back with pride on the contributions I’ve made as a Kent player. I’ve enjoyed every minute of playing for Kent, and I’ll always be a Spitfire.”
