It’s easy to imagine that five minutes to yourselves must be hard to come by with three young boys to look after.
Cricket seemed the obvious answer to the Cracknell parents, with North Middlesex CC just five minutes down the road and their sons itching to let off some steam.
And it didn’t take long for the decision to prove a masterstroke.
Despite neither his mum or dad ever being particularly interested in cricket – or even sport – Joe and his brothers quickly took to the game.
