SO far, so good for Peter Moores in his start to life as Nottinghamshire coach after our lacklustre year in 2016.
It felt like déjà vu finding ourselves 88-5 in the first innings against Moores’ old side Sussex last week, and maybe the bubble had burst after convincing wins over Leicestershire and Durham. But with Riki Wessels conjuring another 202-run masterclass in aggressive batting we sent Sussex’s attack back to the age of the horse & cart. With the aces in our bowling line-up victory was clinched with the follow-on.
