PAKISTAN captain Sarfraz Ahmed says he can’t wait to play for Yorkshire after signing up for the T20 Blast.
Sarfraz will join the county for the final five group games to replace Peter Handscomb, who leaves after Sunday’s match against Nottinghamshire to join the Australian training camp for their tour to Bangladesh.
Subject to having a work permit agreed, Sarfraz, 30, will make his debut against Derbyshire at Headingley on August 3. He said: “I’ve always wanted to play county cricket, so this is an exciting opportunity for me.
