WHILST attending the first day of the Lord’s Test v West Indies I found myself at the Nursery End prior to the start of play.
As I watched various players come and go, Jonny Bairstow ran through, clearly in a hurry to get back to the Pavilion.
However, upon realising that he had run straight past a young chap keen to get his autograph, he came back.
Not only did he ensure that the young chap got his autograph, but a family picture and autographed cricket ball to boot! The face on the young chap said it all.
