STUART Robertson continually baulks at the suggestion that he alone invented Twenty20 cricket. “The myth of the lone inventor,” he laughs as The Cricket Paper describes him as thus.
The fact is, though, that Robertson, along with the team he assembled during his time as the marketing manager at the ECB, helped to transform the fortunes of English cricket by pioneering a format that has, by and large, kept the county game afloat.
