George Garrett can remember the exact moment he realised he might have something a bit special.
Bowling for his prep school, Lockers Park, the seamer took 8-1 in a dominant victory over Westbrook Hay.
Since then, Garrett has progressed to Shrewsbury School – where he now captains the first XI and is a member of the Warwickshire academy with ambitions to break through this summer. His 8-1 has been immortalised in the downstairs toilet at his family home in Hertfordshire – but it does not have pride of place.
